Nice tones! Is it straight from the Ricoh GR Digital III or did you do some post processing? And can you tell me more about the ISO, aperture and shutterspeed you used.
Thanks Piet. I shot it at ISO 400, f/1.9, 1/110 sec. It is actually the B&W jpeg with a bit of editing in Lightroom and Photoshop.
Superb photo; there’s a sort of equivalence between the two subjects, the urinal and the attendant. A very unusual and striking photograph, Wouter.
There was a certain calmness that really interested me. I just had to take this photograph.
Certainly is an usual subject but the capture and lighting are absolutely brilliant.
Thank you Calvin.
Keep them coming Wouter absolutely love it…
Yes, more will follow.
Excellent bw! i like.
Because it´s a jpeg, I suppose Wouter that you usually keeps the better option for jpegs (fine, if Im not wrong) apart of the dng copy. Don´t you?
I thought that dngs were better for post processing and therefore I kept the worse jpeg option for saving memory but I´m seeing I´m quite wrong.
Thanks
I save both jpeg (of course at the fine setting) and dng. If you know what you are doing than the dng is really good for post processing, but when I can get very close with my ‘baked’ jpegs then that is fine for me too. And I printed some at A2+ size as well and looked really good, but I am not going to add anything to raw vs. jpeg battle. Do what you like and what works for you.
Simply ADORE the composition….Beautifully executed
The Lighting is Exquisite
